Enjoy the Beauty of Cochin In Kerala

Fondly referred to as ‘God’s Own Country’, Kerala is also one of the thirteen paradises in the world. You too should travel to Kerala and get exposed to its colorful festivals, unique cuisines and classical art forms. Besides these cultural marvels, Kerala’s equable climate, tranquil stretches of backwaters, serene beaches, lush hill stations and exotic wildlife are some of the other attractions awaiting you.

Out of several exotic travel destinations in Kerala, Cochin (Ernakulam) needs a special mention. A Kerala tour, without Cochin as one of its itinerary, is a big mistake. Located on the coast of the Arabian Sea, Cochin is the commercial capital of Kerala besides being the biggest cosmopolitan city of the state. In Cochin, you will find strikingly green mountain valleys, serene calm backwaters, string of coconut trees and sprawling tea plantations. Moreover, as you walk through these beaches you will notice that the fishermen are busy catching fish with large Chinese fishing nets and large stretches of shores are covered with fishing nets. The age old architectural edifices and temples at different parts of the city make Cochin an ideal place to spend a lovely vacation. Some of the destinations in Cochin that you must visit are Bolgatty Palace, St Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue and Hill Palace Museum.

The fairs held during Jewish festivals, Onam, Malayatoor Perunal and Thalapoli create a great ambience of joy and mirth all around and will expose you to fascinating traditional art & folk dance forms of Kerala.
